ScanSoft PaperPort® is used by millions to simplify scanning, organizing and sharing of paper and digital documents. The application includes powerful document management features, including built-in support for nearly all application formats, and a search engine that finds both digital and scanned documents using standard text-search queries. Perhaps most popular is its Visual Document Desktop environment, which lets users organize, use and share all standard PC files using a drag and drop thumbnail interface.

PaperPort supports the Tablet PC today, providing an easier way to use a stylus to work with documents and provides drag and drop tools for organizing and virtually stacking digital photographs.

With the wireless connectivity of the Tablet PC, users can see their documents in PaperPort as they use MFP and digital copier devices. This "wireless network scanning" capability is significantly enhanced with PaperPort, as it adds image clean-up, de-skewing and scan-to-e-mail capabilities to the Tablet PC.
